Universal Energy

The craft is not something that can be taught to you. It is something that must be felt and experienced for yourself in order for you to comprehend its power and to understand how amazing it is when used in benevolent ways or how destructive it can be when used malevolently, especially for yourself if you misuse this power. A great deal of folks who know me and have gone through our apprenticeship program who have learned of my view on divinity have jokingly called me a Jedi. Well call me what you will but I strongly believe that George Lucas hit the nail on the head when he wrote Star Wars.

"May the force be with you."

So the saying goes. In my opinion there has never been a more powerful witchcraft blessing ever spoken. Riva, our High Priest's spirit guide, has told us through our coven interviews with her that: "When you open your eyes, you see God."

This of course meaning that energy that animates all living things and binds the universe. This is not all of God however. In Pantheism God is in every living thing but not beyond that. In Panentheism God is in every living thing and transcendent beyond that. I personally hold a Panentheistic view of the divine, meaning they are in everything and transcendent beyond that. In Asian cultures this "force," this "breath of life" is known as Prana or Chi. This is in my belief the same energy that our soul is a part.

You are not here to learn witchcraft per say but rather techniques that will allow you to easily tap into this universal energy and bend it to your will in positive and benevolent ways to bring about the changes you wish to create in your life and the lives of others. Some of these techniques are technically labeled as witchcraft and labeling is a whole other battle, but as Riva puts it:

"We have to label what's hard so that the mind can filter."

Here is the first of many warnings to come. I have heard they have fabulous cookies, but don't turn to the dark side. Trust me, even the most delicious cookies isn't worth the suffering and chaos you will have to endure in this life and in lives to come should you decide to dabble in malevolent magick for the sake of harming others. Witchcraft to many of us here isn't a fad. It's not just fun spell making and casting, that is called spell craft which does typically go hand in hand with witchcraft. To many of us witchcraft is a way of life. It is a nature based religion that finds beauty in the most unlikely places where others see nothing. It is a form of spirituality where when practiced correctly is our way of connecting to the divine. It is our way of finding a higher purpose, a divine calling, for those who have been shunned by other forms of religiosity because of how they feel or because of indifference. We here embrace all faiths and religions seeing the good and truth in all of it and if you can't see that then you have no business here. All religions are beautiful in their own way and serve to teach us many lessons. Jesus wasn't a Christian and Buddha wasn't a Buddhist. Their religion was love and ours should be as well.
